Hi Bill, Ron's picture postcard view of the Murphys five and dime also shows two doors to the left the very beautiful but long gone Pulakos bldg. at 926 State St. Our Wingerter posters may be interested to know that the 1891 Erie City Directory shows the 3rd floor of this building as home to the Wingerter Bros. cigar manufactory. John Claridge's "Lost Erie" dates the structure to 1870 and the decorative facade to 1916. It was knocked down in 1964.
