It would appear to me that the taxpayer citizens of Delta Co. Colorado are paying for this service for their use. Join that library and support their genealogical resources if you want to use their services. I belong to Godfrey Library (CT) and pay them to access the census from my home computer. It is a very small cost per year ($35) plus I feel I'm helping them provide even more genealogical resources for all of us to benefit by. I need information on LaVerne James Pratt who married Blanche Eleanor Fiske. Also Joseph Hoyt Pratt married Nancy C. Farnsworth. I am researching for my daughter-in-law whose maiden name is Micheloni. Her mother's maiden name is Nelson. Thanks
The following was found in a family scrapbook. The newspaper is not named. There is no date. A.C. MILLER AUGUSTUS C. MILLER, nearly a lifelong resident of Girard township, died at the home of his son-in-law, Mr. Sextus SHIPMAN, in North Girard, February 8, 1925. Mr. MILLER was the youngest son of James and Majory MILLER and was born in Girard township, October 17, 1838. He was married to Emily HARRIS 63 years ago at Girard. To this union there were born six children, five of whom are still living, the eldest, Mrs. May HOUGHTON, having died in 1919. Those living are Mrs. L.E. SALISBURY of Mason, Michigan; Mrs. L.D. VAN TASSEL of Alvin, Texas; Mr. Rush MILLER and Mrs. S.E. SHIPMAN of North Girard, and Mr. Norton MILLER of Erie. There are also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. MILLER was educated at Fredonia, New York, at the Fredonia academy which at that time was the popular and noted school of this section. After graduation he became a teacher, following that profession for several years. Later he became a farmer, working the farm which had been in the family for one hundred years. He was a faithful and consistent member of the Masonic fraternity which order attended the funeral in a body and had charge of the services at the grave. Mr. MILLER was a life long student, independent in his thinking, yet with the utmost respect for the opinions of other men, charitable in his judgements, yet making no compromise in questions of honor. His religion was to put in operation in daily life the Golden Rule. Theologically he was a Universalist. The funeral services were conducted at North Girard, PA., February 11, at 2. p.m. by Rev. Herbert H. Graves, minister of the Universalist church at Girard. Interment was in the Girard Cemetery. I hope this obit is helpful to someone. Georgia Whitson

Greetings, I'm looking for any info. on the families of VAN SICKLE (VANSICKLE, SICKLE etc.), TURNER, GRIFFITHS, CARNEY (CHANCY, CHARNCY etc.) MISENER and ROSEBRUGH (ROSEBOROUGH etc.) in the Erie area in the early 1800's. I have record of a Mr. Turner and his wife Jane and family and Mr. Griffiths and his wife Sarah and family travelled to the Erie area in the early 1800's (between 1804 and 1814 approx.) to possibly live with relatives on a farm. They were listed as being in a house fire and 'may' have perished. I have no record of them after this. I searched for record of fires and have checked online for cemetaries in the ares. They seemed to have disappeared. They started out in NJ and moved to Jerseyville, Ontario in 1800 with their families. This is where Jane and Sarah (nee: Rosebrugh) were married to Mr. Turner and Mr. Griffiths. Their family left behind in Jerseyville, Ontario, stayed here for many years. Thanks for any info. Regards, Deborah

Does anyone have anything on the Baldwin families in Amity Twp, Erie Co, PA. Thank you, gayle
Does anyone have any info on the Conn family found in Wayne, Erie County, PA? Thanks. Chancelee
Could someone help me with a church, birth or other lookup for the above person or surname. My dilemma is that supposedly he was born in PA but I have no idea where. Other Brigance members were supposedly born around 1740 in PA as well. At that time, there were only 4 counties: Lancaster, Chester, Philadelphia and Bucks. I have searched in Philadelphia and Lancaster but I wonder when the counties split if the information went with another county outside of the Philadelphia area. Thanks!!!!! Sorry... I forgot to mention that the name of the JP or minister (not sure if it was a civil or a church service) for this marriage may have been H.H. Shields, if that helps. Looking to contact anyone researching the MURPHY families of Erie County, PA and Summit Township in particular. All my Murphys were Catholic and began settlement in PA about 1852. I'm new to the list and wonder if anyone is interested in Bargains, Kinsingers, or Shaffers in Erie County. John Bargain m. Susannah Shaffer before 1823 probably in Lancaster County. They moved to Erie C. in 1828. Their daughter Kate m. Jacob Kinsinger in 1845 in Erie. I'm especially interested in the Bargain line as it's the most elusive, but would love to share info on all related lines. Connie Bellamy
To all Erie Co (PA) researchers and interested list members, The theme for March on the Erie Co (PA) Genealogy website is "Land Records". This includes deeds, land warrants, tax assessment records, Platt map extracts and any other items related to "Land". Anyone having any material related to this theme, please contact me, or just send it. Our January/February Church related theme added quite a number of pages, although a large portion of this was from the St Paul's dedication booklet. Many thanks again to all of those who volunteered time to transcribe pages from that booklet. A late February contribution remains to be posted, and I may still get back to several of the extracts from my own library. I am starting my fourth year as the volunteer county coordinator for the website at http://www.rootsweb.com/~paerie. For anyone new to this mail list, or for anyone who may not recall, I am not the administrator/coordinator for this mail list. One of the purposes of this mail list is to support the Erie Co (PA) Genealogy website, but any issues or concerns with regard to the website should be sent directly to me at ErieCoGenie@att.net . The only reason I bring this up, is that I would like to solicit suggestions from any or all of you on what you like or don't like about the website, what might be done to improve it, what you think of the monthly themes, what you think of the township setup, and any other comments. However, I do not want this feedback to be sent to this list - please send directly to me. I will summarize and post on the website. Anyone wanting to help out in any way, or anyone who has resources willing to do look up, please also email me directly. Thanking all of you in advance for your cooperation. I look forward to a mailbox full of feedback sent directly to me at ErieCoGenie@att.net. Bill Klauk Volunteer County Coordinator, Erie Co (PA) Genealogy, USGenWeb/PAGenWeb project
