Hi Dana, Francis Cemetery is located on the eastside of Gudgeonville Rd about halfway between Francis Rd on the North and Clair Wright Rd on the South, in Franklin Twp,Erie Co,PA. I did not find a headstone listed for James EDWARDS in the cemetery reading of 25 March 1981 by Kathy Hauser and contributed by the late Cheri Nolen for use in the USGenweb Archives as part of the Tombstone Transcription Project. There are unmarked plots in the cemetery that have been used for burials as is the case with my GGF 's plot ,however I am sorry that I am unable to provide an address or phone number for the Francis Cemetery Assn. Perhaps another reader will be able to help. Good luck and happy hunting. Cheers. Hello, According to the headstone at the Fairview Cemetery, James Edwards 1842-1884 Buried at Francis (born in Scotland) Using USGS, I found Francis Cemetery to be at Albion, Erie County. Is there a township Gungensville or area in the Albion called Gungensville? Does anyone know the address of Francis Cemetery? It might be near a Gungens Road. I would like to find out if there is another headstone for James Edwards at Francis Cemetery. Dana

Even though I have to go to bed early tonight, I couldn't let this very quiet list down, so here is one more cemetery - http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4293486745 - this is the Eoahn Zlahtoust Cemetery which is a small Russian Cemetery in Millcreek Township on the east side of Wattsburg Road, south of the Belle Valley Fire department and next to the GTE building (a trailer park is on the west side of Wattsburg road). This cemetery has a locked vehicle gate, but on the side there was a people gate, and I saw no signs prohibiting entry. I believe this cemetery is associated with the Russian Church on Front St just west of German. Bill Klauk Millcreek Township, Erie County, PA
Hello, I am wondering if anyone would happen to have access to the 1860 Census of Erie Co., Pa? If so, could you be so kind in e-mailing me. Thank-You!
Hi All A great place to post QUERIES OBITS and BIOS is at the GenConnect SURNAME boards, there is one for every possible surname and are picked up by the SURNAME HELPER; . All GenConnect boards are indexed in Surname Helper. Surname Helper is also used by the USGenWeb QueryExpress system for registering counties. http://surhelp.rootsweb.com/srchall.html I keep forgetting about these. We send to the maillists and they are lost in archives, and there is also a place for wills and Pensions Deeds, for each surname, a really good tool Check it out, just make sure you are in the right column for what you are doing, just read through; This is a great place to post all the BIOS that come in to the maillists http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/indx/FamAssoc.html Dee

Wondering if anyone has access to the 1880 Fairview twp census in Erie? If so could you be so kind as to look up to see if there is a Henry Hunt as head and wife Jennie A (or Ann Jane/Jane Ann her real name being Ann Jane but went by Jennie A) with at least two children living with them: Mary Clarinda, John, Irvin, Charles W. (he would of been about 10 or abouts)...there are 9 children total that they had. Or any Hunts that would appear in the 1880 census in Fairview twp. Many many thanks! God Bless, Tammie

Hello all; I know soon many of you will be headed south, As I will soon, and wanted to pass this safety advisory on to you, It just came to my email ATTENTION. . . . SAFETY ADVISORY ALERT FOR STATE OF FLORIDA! The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is advising hikers, hunters, fishers, and golfers to take extra precautions and keep alert for alligators while in Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Highlands, and Orange Counties. They advise people to wear noise-producing devices such as little bells on their clothing to alert, but not startle alligators unexpectedly. They also advise the carrying of pepper spray in case of an encounter with an alligator. It is also a good idea to watch for fresh signs of alligator activity. People should recognize the difference between small young alligator and large adult alligator droppings. Young alligator droppings are smaller and contain fish bones and possibly bird feathers. Adult alligators droppings have little bells in them and smell like pepper spray... Dee: :) Tee Hee Gulp There is a 14 footer in OUR little Fla Lake
A small album of only 8 pictures and 2 are of the entrance sign and one of the pond, but the fairly new Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery on Lake Pleasant Road in Millcreek Township may be viewed at http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4293502743 . This cemetery is on property that used to be a part of the Olds chicken farm. Bill Klauk Millcreek Township, Erie County, PA
Hi List, I have added several pictures of the Wayne Blockhouse, and earlier several pictures of what was once the Jones School now renovated into I believe lawyer offices to the City of Erie pictures on Zing at http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4293598237 . Please note that Zing recently changed their view format and most of the older URLs that have been posted for my albums will take you to the 'one picture at a time' view. I now try and list the new format of the URL to take you to the 'index' view, so that you may see at least the first 20 pictures at a glance. As I have stated in the album itself, and in all my other albums, anyone with contributions to add may post directly to the site for review, or you may e-mail me .jpg images for posting. Hi, all: Just visited both sites, and they both show the "USGenWeb" eagle-thing. Is this a lack of communication, or am I missing a point here? Let's not duplicate effort. heaven knows we all have only so much time to spend. I love the new site, but the old one is great, too. Are they communicating?
