    1. [PAERIE] Happy Thanksgiving!
    2. Mike
    3. Dear Friends, I invite you this day to reflect on all of the blessings that have been bestowed upon us within the past year. I wish each and everyone of you and your families the best Thanksgiving ever. May the time you spend with your families this day be truly special. Let us also give thanks to our noble and honored ancestors for all of the sacrifices that they endured so that we could enjoy all that we have today. Let them never be forgotten. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE AND TO ALL OF YOUR LOVED ONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. [PAERIE] Erie Cemetery Updated again on Zing
    2. William Klauk
    3. Greetings from under 2 feet of snow in Erie, My Zing album for Erie Cemetery has once again been updated with 11 new pictures taken before the heavy snow on Monday. The album may be viewed at http://www.zing.com/album/pictures.html?id=4293374393 . Pictures include the entrance area, the caretaker house, office, general views of graves, the Reed Monument and Saltsman Monument. I also submitted some pictures yesterday to the Calvary Cemetery page maintained by Marian Fromkneckt (sorry don't have the URL handy but you can get to it from the paerie cemetery page - scroll down to Millcreek Twp). If I get time Wednesday between snowblowing the new 6 to 12 inches that we are supposed to get overnight, I will post the new pictures I took from the St Stanislas portion of Trinity. 3. HI Donna! I would recommend that you put all of your requests in the QUERY section of the site for a more permanent "advertising" of your needs. Plus you will run into researchers from all over who are researching those surnames. Happy Hunting! 2. What a wonderful thing to happen -- sort of every genealogist's dream. I'm sure many of us will want to read them when you make them available. I would think a wider audience might be out there, too. I'm thinking in terms of publishing, or the historical society, or a Civil War oriented magazine. I would think they would have considerable historical value. Janet - Delaware

    3. Bill, I am just new to this list this week. I really like the cemetery photos you have. I have an ancestor that is buried in that cemetery. It is James Magill who died in 1856 and I have a photo of his tombstone that is pretty good. You can read most of it. I am also new at computer stuff and so my knowledge of putting things on the website is nil. Can I scan it to you and you can decide if you are interested in entering it? Thanks. 3. Just had to pop in and say if it is as cold in the rest of the country as it is here, we probably won't be hearing from many on this site for awhile. It has been 8-14 degrees at night here and got up to a whopping 26 degrees yesterday. Be thankful for your night-time 30 degrees. Everything is frozen with snow and it is awful cold! Hope it warms up for everyone's Thanksgiving and hope you all have a good one!! 3. Hello, I am looking for information on Rhoda Chase. Rhoda was a sister of my Nathan Westcoat/Wescott, b. Nov. 19, 1761 in Richmond Twp., Cheshire, NH, widow of William Chase. Today I learned that she was in Washington Twp. Aug. 7, 1843 and that Royal Chase was possibly a child of them. William was to have died March 7, 1816 and to have been in the Rev. War. Royal was to have signed an aff'dt in 1843 in Erie. Would there be any information that I could find to verify her residency in Erie Co.? I am trying to find when & where she died. What happened to Royal? Thank you. Betty Macdonald [email protected]

Those traveling on I-90 see the sign and the Korean War vintage jet plane on the north side of the highway. This cemetery is actually in Summit Township, although quite close to the McKean Twp border. Bill Klauk Millcreek Township, Erie County, PA

    1. [PAERIE] Cemetary at Greene and Strong Rds.?
    2. Joseph Schmitt
    3. Hi Listers, I made my way out to the Phillipsville Cemetary today and looked for a few graves relevant to a couple of our Listers, without any luck. Anyone needing grave info from there can call (814) 825-3827 . >From there I drove over West Greene Rd. to its intersection with Strong Rd. just down the hill from Fox Run Golf Course. There is a small graveyard there. Most of the stones are broken , unreadable, or missing. Someone is making an effort to at least mark and memorialize some of the graves with crosses. I saw a few G.A.R. flagstaffs and I'm wondering if there's a way to determine the identity of these Civil War veterans. Of course, I'm also wondering what the name of this cemetary is, and if any of you have any info on it. Thanks and best wishes for what is left of the weekend. Joe
