    1. [PAELK] Genealogy Queries in the Elk Horn
    2. Sherry
    3. Starting with the next issue of the Elk Horn, the tri-yearly publication of the Elk County Historical Society, we are going to be trying something new. We are going to be publishing queries from people who are researching their Elk County ancestors. The good people of the Elk County mailing list have been chosen to help us give this idea a trial run. I am inviting all of you to send me a twenty word genealogical query on your Elk County ancestor(s)--please mail these queries privately to genequeen@alltel.net After the initial publication, queries will be paid and will be a set $$ amount that will be announced by the Elk Horn staff. FOR THIS TIME ONLY, you do not need to be a member of the ECHS to get a query published. After this, however, only members in good standing with the ECHS will be eligible to have a query published in the Elk Horn. If you are not a member of the ECHS and wish to be, please contact Mark Groeger at elkctyhistoricalsociety@alltel.net To be fair, the queries that are published in this initial issue will be drawn in a lottery. Some guidelines: 1. Please make sure that your query has an Elk County connection. Any queries for outside area's will be ineligible for publication. 2. Please stick to the twenty word limit. Don't forget to include your preferred contact information: Name, mailing address, e-mail or phone number. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me off of the list. Sherry
