I sent this to the list yesterday, but it never made it, so here it is again: I have absolutely no problem with that (posting stuff from the local paper to the list) at all, provided that things don't meander into off topic subjects (like hunting, etc.). In fact, I think it's a great idea. I have often been tempted to do this myself, but I don't get any of the Elk County newspapers. (I get the Daily Press on a "when I get down there" basis from my grandmother.) There are enough people on this list that a lively discussion should be forthcoming, and everyone should feel free to post their queries at any time. We have alot of people subscribing, but no one is making that initial post to the list about what they are looking for. Please don't just put "ROLL CALL" in the subject line of the e-mail though-- be specific about the surnames you are looking for in the subject line so that it might catch the eye of others working on that same family.
