Burial in Emerickville, PA. Gladys C. Neal KARCHNER, no age or birth date given, died 12/31/2001 in Big Run, PA. Daughter of David and Maude Farester Conrad. No husbands mentioned, but one son survives: James E. Neal of Falls Creek, four granchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, and nnieces and nephews. Last member of her immediate family. Burial in Beechwoods Cemetery. Erma J. SHUGARTS, aged 66, died 1/1/2002 in Laurel Nursing Home. Born 7/7/1934 in Stanley. Husband was Gordon J. Shugarts. No maiden name given, but it states that she was preceded in death by a brother named Howard REASINGER, Jr. Two sons, James G. Shugarts and Robert J. Shugarts. Services to be held in Mullica Hill, N.J. Miriam M. BECK, aged 93, died 12/31/2001 in DuBois, PA. Born 7/14/1908 in Luthersburg, daughter of Simon T. and Clara Hartzfeld. Married to Clair W. Beck. One son, Gordon, one brother and one sister survive. Burial in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Bloom Twp. Clearfield CO., PA. Montrue Krill LOWRY, aged 78, died 12/27/2001 in Brookville. Born 2/16/1923, daughter of Geroge W. and Lula Mae (O'Dell) Krill. Married to James E. Lowry. Survivors include two sons and one daughter. Burial in Woodlawn, MD. John Loyd VANSICE, aged 76, died 12/31/2001 in Altoona. Resident of DuBois. Born in Sabula on 2/5/1925, the son of James Frederick and Nora Louella (Shoemaker) VanSice. No wife mentioned, but has children. Burial in Morningside Cemetery, DuBois.
