Hi, Does anyone on this list know how to get newspaper or court case articles for Elk County? My great great grandmother, Ellen DONOVAN QUINN was committed to the Dixmont State Hospital Nov 25, 1879. A copy of her file there said that she was arrested and jailed for larceny before the court had her admitted to the hospital. She was in jail for 5 weeks. While this narrows the timeframe it does not give an exact date. I live far enough away from Elk County that a personal visit is not an option at this time. If anyone knows of someone willing to do this type of research for me I would appreciate it. Professional or volunteer. Thanks, Sharlene
