Recently I had the fortune to be given an old family album containing mostly tintypes and cabinet cards. Unfortunately, the family member who passed the album on to me had no idea who most of the people were in the pictures. The album originally belonged to my third great grandparents who spent some time in PA before moving to NB, Canada. I know very little about them. Question: After carefully removing some of the cabinet cards, I noticed that a few had photographers' marks on them which pointed to St. Marys. The photographers were J. B. BERGSTRESSER and W. R. FINCH. Does anyone know about these photographers and if they kept records? Could anyone offer suggestions to how I might better identify these unknown individuals in the photographs?
