    3. My apologies if some of the articles seem long. I try to include a lot of things that I find categories for in my Family Tree program. I also noticed in the on-line version that some of my posts go very far across the Web-Page, which requires a lot of left and right scrolling. I will try to address this as I settle into doing this. It took about 1.5 hours to do 4 days worth of papers, but there were also a lot of items to deal with so...... I will get the hang of it eventually. Thanks again! A bit later they opened the Kiddie's Specialty Shop on Brusselles Street which they operated for 33 years. She became the second female to ever be elected to the St. Marys Town council. It was a position her Father had held from 1938 to 1941, but Anne did not serve out her term, electing to run instead against incumbent Mayor Bob Keim for the borough seat. Following a near two to one victory , she immediately let it be known that she regarded the office as more than ceremonial. 1. [PAELK] FYI- Newspaper scans
    2. Sherry
    3. PLEASE READ: I just wanted to let all of you know that the Tri-County Sunday edition of the DuBois Courier Express is the only issue where engagements and marriages are featured for the week. These articles have good family info in them and I will post them to the list, but if you need a scan of an engagement, wedding, or anniversary-- YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME WITHIN TWO DAYS OF MY POSTING TO THE LIST. That's about how long it takes me to get sick of all the newspaper piling up on the end of the couch. :-) I don't keep these types of articles unless they pertain to a family that I work on. If you need an obituary, that's no problem as I cut and keep them all throughout the year. I have obituaries from the DuBois Courier Express from 1998 (partial year starting about March), entire years of 1999, 2000, 2001, and I am now starting 2002. I CAN do lookups in these obits, but you need to be SPECIFIC about who you are looking for because I don't yet have them indexed and each year amounts to well over 300 pages. (Indexing is on my "to-do" list along with everything else!) Thanks for reading, and have fun! Sherry

    3. I am doing the obits and birth announcements from the DuBois Courier Express and sending them to the Elk County mailing list. I might as well send them to the Jefferson and Clearfield County lists as well, since it deals with families in those areas too. If this is not acceptable to those on the list, or results in too much e-mail, please let me know and I will stop sending to the Clearfield and Jefferson lists.
