Buccheit, b. 29 Sep 1838 in Alsace, France was married to James J. Mix b. 5 Sep 1833 in PA d. After 26 Mar 1909. Do you know how she fits into your Buccheit family? Would she be the daughter of Frank X. Buccheit b. 1783? So that I don't mix up the generations, could you provide a list of Frank X. Buccheit's (b. 1783) children? B., 89, of Belmont Abbey, North Carolina, died there yesterday afternoon at five o'clock. The deceased was born on November 14, 1885, in St. Marys, son of the late Alois and Helene Goetz Bucheit. He was ordained on December 21, 1912. He is survived by a sister, Mother Maura Bucheit, of Belmont Abbey and a brother, Henry of St. Marys. Fr. Bucheit was preceded in death by three sisters: Sister Leona of St. Joseph Convent, Sophie and Antoinette; and two brothers Aloys and Philip. Interment will take place at Belmont Abbey. A mass in honor of Fr. OBITUARY - 4/5/1922 Passed Away - Homes are Saddened by Visit of Grimm Reaper Goetz Joseph Goetz, one of the old and substantial citizens of Benzinger township, died at his home on Benzinger Road Tuesday night at six o'clock. Death due to a complication of diseases form which he had been suffering for some time. Mr. Goetz was born in St. Marys in October 1850, and was past 72 years of age. He was reared on a farm and he followed that vocation throughout life. He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Louis Bauer, of Buffalo, Mrs. John Kaul and Mrs. Frank Bucheit, of St. Marys; three brothers, Alois of Buffalo; and Rupert and Michael, of St. Marys. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning. Services to be conducted at the St. Marys Church and interment made in the St. Marys cemetery.     3. OBITUARY - 1/31/1966 Fillmore Road Woman Died Last Evening Mrs. C. Buchheit died suddenly at her home Mrs. Charles Buchheit, 68, the former Germaine Goetz, passed away at her Fillmore Road home last evening about eight o'clock. Her death was considered sudden and came as a great shock to friends and relatives. Mrs. Buchheit was born in St. Marys on October 19, 1897, daughter of the late Catherine Krieg and Joseph Goetz, and spent her lifetime in this community. On October 19, 1915, she was married to Charles Buchheit in St. Marys Church. Fr. Swiebert had performed the nuptial ceremony. Last October 16, Mr. and Mrs. Buchheit celebrated their golden anniversary with nuptial high mass in St. Marys Church followed by a reception at Camp owners. Surviving other than her husband are two daughters, Verna, Mrs. Willis Hanes of Niagara Falls, and Marlene, Mrs. Albert Schatz, and two sons, Vilmer and Earl Buchheit, all of St. Marys. Twenty-six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive as do two sisters and three brothers. They are Emma, Mrs. William Buchheit of Coudersport, Caroline, Mrs. Albie Horowitz of New York City; William, Edward and Henry Goetz, all of St. Marys. The deceased was a member of the St. Marys Altar Society, the Kaul Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and St. Anne Society. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. They were Regina, Mrs. John Erich, Miss Minnie Goetz and Lawrence Goetz, the latter passing away December 13. Requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Marys Church and interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends will be received at the John J. Bucheit, 82, of Coudersport. Mrs. Bucheit, the former Emma Goetz, died Saturday in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital there. Burial followed in the parish cemetery. The deceased was born on May 8, 1894, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Goetz. She married William Bucheit in 1915. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Kathryn Tassilo of Coudersport; Mrs. Dorothy Rodell of North Belmont, NY; three sons: Andrew of San Diego, CA; Leo of Coudersport; Willis of Eporium; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: William and Edward Goetz of St. Marys. She was a former Mt. Jewett area resident and a resident of Coudersport since 1955. She was a member of the C. D. of A.     3. OBITUARY - March 18, 1949 Theresia Street Resident Dies In Buffalo Joseph Bucheit Passed Away Today Joseph C. Bucheit, 71, life-long resident of St. Marys, died at approximately 12:30 this morning in the Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, where he had been admitted as a surgical patient three weeks ago. While his condition had shown no marked improvement the past few days, members of the family who visited him during visiting hours last night found no appreciable change and news that he passed away about three hours after they last saw him, came as a considerable shock. Mr. Bucheit was born March 22, 1877, son of the deceased Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bucheit. He had been employed at the Tannery until his retirement slightly more than two years ago. Prior to that he worked at the local sawmill and for St. Marys Brewing Company. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lanzel, and the following children: Beatrice, Mrs. Fred Bhrem, Buffalo; Helen, Mrs. Clarence Ellison, Port Allegany; Mrs. Fairl Singer, Genevieve, Mrs. S. J. Cancilla, Miss Silda Buchheit and Norman Buchheit of St. Marys. Other survivors are five sisters and three brothers; Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, St. Marys; Gertrude, Mrs. Harry Walker, Kane; Hilda, Mrs. Ambrose Wortman, Buffalo; Frank and Charles Bucheit, St. Marys; William Bucheit, Mt. Jewett, and eight grandchildren. Deceased was a member of St. Joseph Society, P. F. L. and Eagles. The body can be viewed at the family home after 10 o'clock Saturday morning.     3. OBITUARY - Tuesday, December 26, 1961 F. X. Bucheit Passed Away on Sunday Mass tomorrow for resident of Bucktail Road Frank X. Bucheit, 83, of Bucktail Road, who lived practically his entire life in St. Marys, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:05 at Blose-McGregor Nursing home in Punxsutawney. He had been in failing health for some time and a patient at the nursing home since September 28. Mr. Bucheit was born in St. Marys on December 4, 1878, son of the late Frank X and Mary Goetz Bucheit. He was proprietor of the Rendezvous Tavern until his retirement. Prior to that he had worked at the local tannery and its affiliates for 40 years. Five years of that time, he was stationed at the tannery in Mt. Jewett. Mr. Bucheit was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Rene Martin, who passed away here in 1925. The deceased is survived by his wife, the former Marie Heinkel, who he married on August 23, 1927. Seven sons, a daughter and two step-daughters. They are: Richard and Bernard Bucheit of St. Marys; Louis of Chicago; John of Mt. Jewett; Andrew of Kane; Leon of Erie and Walter of Cleveland. Clare, Mrs. Paul Horchen, Jr., of St. Marys; the step daughters are Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer of St. Marys; and Frances, Mrs. John Hillebrand of Mesa, Arizona. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, and Carl Bucheit of St. Marys; and William of Coudersport. Thirty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also are among his survivors. Mr. Bucheit was a charter member of St. Marys Eagles and a member of St. Joseph Society. Requiem mass will be celebrated in Queen of the World Church tomorrow morning at 10:30 with interment to follow in St. Marys cemetery. Friends are being received at the Joseph W. The deceased was born in St. Marys on September 20, 1892, son of the late Frank and Mary Goetz Bucheit. He was a retired employee of Keystone Carbon Company and a member of the C.M.F. and St. Joseph Society. He is survived by two daughters and two sons. They are: Verna, Mrs. Willis Hanes of Niagara Falls, NY; Marlene, Mrs. Albert Schatz, Vilmer Bucheit and Earl Bucheit, all of St. Marys. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Germaine Goetz, on January 30, 1966. Also preceding him in death were the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lena Distler, Mrs. Rose Distler, Mrs. Mary Meyer, Mrs. Gertrude Walker, Mrs. Josephine Cotter, Mrs. Julia Renwick, Mrs. Hilda Wortman, Joseph Bucheit, Frank Bucheit and William Bucheit. He was the last of his immediate family. Requiem mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at nine o'clock from the St. Marys Church with interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the John J. Lynch Funeral Home on N. OBITUARY - 9/14/1970 Military Rites Wednesday for Bernard Bucheit Accident Victim Veteran of WWII, Korean Conflict Full military rites will be accorded Bernard Bucheit in conjunction with 10 o'clock requiem mass Wednesday morning in Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery with St. Mary's Burial Detail conducting graveside rites. Mr. Buchheit was born in St. Marys on July 24, 1923, son of the late Frank and Rinnie Martin Bucheit. His father passed away on September 24, 1961, and his mother in April, 1925. Surviving are six brothers, Louis of Grand Rapids, Mich.; John of Mt. Jewett; Richard of St. Marys; Andrew of Kane; Leon of Erie; and Walter of Lorraine, Ohio. Also surviving are a half sister, Clare, Mrs. Paul Horchen, and a step-sister, Charlotte, Mrs. Carl Vollmer, both of St. Marys. The deceased was a member of the American Legion Post 103, C. M. F. and P. F. L. He served in the Air Corps during World War II and the Korean conflict.     3. OBITUARY - January 14, 1978 Fr. Bucheit Died Tuesday in North Carolina St. Marys Native to be Buried in Belmont Abbey There Father Maurus Bucheit, O. S. B., 89, of Belmont Abbey, North Carolina, died there yesterday afternoon at five o'clock. The deceased was born on November 14, 1885, in St. Marys, son of the late Alois and Helene Goetz Bucheit. He was ordained on December 21, 1912. He is survived by a sister, Mother Maura Bucheit, of Belmont Abbey and a brother, Henry of St. Marys. Fr. Bucheit was preceded in death by three sisters: Sister Leona of St. Joseph Convent, Sophie and Antoinette; and two brothers Aloys and Philip. Interment will take place at Belmont Abbey. A mass in honor of Fr.     3. Death Claims Aged Resident Benzinger Road Alois Bucheit, 80, died suddenly at his home last evening. Funeral services Friday morning at nine o'clock. Alois Buchheit, Sr., 80, one of Benzinger Township's most highly respected and honorable residents died suddenly at his home on Benzinger Road last evening at 20 minutes past nine o'clock. Up to the past few days he was very active and up and around as usually, being sick but a short time before passing away. Funeral services will be held at St. Marys church Friday morning at nine o'clock with members of St. Josephs Society attending in a body. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery. A lifelong resident of this section, Mr. Buchheit was born here on March 15, 1856, and followed the farming occupation over a long period of time. His wife passed away 30 years ago. The deceased is survived by four daughters, Antoinette, at home, Sophie, of St. Marys, Sister M. Leona, O. S. B. St. Joseph Convent here, Sister M. Maura, member of the Sisters of Meroy Order, Belmony, N. C., and four sons; Alois, Jr., and Henry, at home; Phillip of St. Marys and Rev. Father Maurice, O. S. B., Belmony Abbey, N. C.
