Thank you all for your contributions. I have located Whitemarsh in what is now Montgomery Co PA. Maidenhead was in the West Jersey Province which was formerly run by the Netherlands Dutch Trading Co. After all, the Dutch settled before Wm Penn came to PA! A Gov Billinge was made Governour of West Province in 1682 and Robert Barclay was made Governour of East Jersey Province, after Wm Penn became part proprietor when Sir George Cartaret's land was sold to pay his debts.
