I HAVE been researching the Harter family or this region.Some of my ancesters married into the Maurer and Handwerk family Martin 1 was my gr. gr. gr. gr. grandfather .His second wife was Maria Catherine Maurer and his son Martin Jr married Christina Margaritha Maurer They had a daughter that married Frederick Handwerk.They later moved to Ohio.
