Tobias, 73, Schuylkill Haven, died of natural causes Aug. 19 at 7:20 a.m. in Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville. He was the husband of Florence R. (Becker) Tobias. His first wife, Doris C. (Brobst) Tobias, in 1973. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Samuel and Cora (Kline) Tobias. Tobias was employed as a garment cutter by Marlet Textiles, Schuylkill Haven, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Auburn Church of God, Schuylkill County. Tobias is also survived by two daughters, Catherine (Tobias) Kriner and Sally (Tobias) Miller, both of Auburn; and a son, Ronald H. Tobias, Pottsville. Other survivors include a stepson, Keith Minnich, Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County; and four stepdaughters: Nancy (Minnich) Hutnyan, Bell, Fla.; Bonnie and Brenda Minnich, both of Schuylkill Haven; and Robin Minnich, Hamburg. Also surviving are a brother, Jay, Port Carbon, Schuylkill County; and two sisters, Janet (Tobias) Dietrich, Auburn, and Joann (Tobias) Romig, Port Carbon. There are also 10 grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild. Services will be Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. in the Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., Orwigsburg. Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, near Schuylkill Haven.
