His son was John B. Hill , born Feb. 1819. One other thing, were there not Dutch migrating to Pennsylvania,? or is the term Pennsylvanian Dutch just a common term for the German peoples migrating to P.A.? My great, great, great grandpa, Jacob J. Hill was a Pennsylvanian Dutch, now is that safe to say he is from the netherlands or is he German? Sorry to sound stupid, but after my research, Im rather confused. Thank you for any help. kim. ---- Kim- Any idea what county your Jacob J. Hill was living or where he was born? There are PA Dutch Hills in Berks County and there are several Jacob Hills in that family but we'd need more to go on to know if you HILLs fit into this family. Most PA Dutchmen were of German/Swiss/Alsatian origin. Joan
