    1. [PaDgo] Family of Peter Moser (b. abt. 1796) & Magdalena Horlacher
    2. M J Moser
    3. Peter Moser, according to my grandfather was born someplace in Northampton County and descends from a Michael who emigrated to this country in 1751. I don't know if Michael was his father. 1850 census records place his birth at 1796 or 1797. Magdalena Horlacher was born 1800-1801 . Her parents Daniel Horlacher and Magdalena Wittman, of Upper and Lower Saucon. Peter and Magdalena were married in the Borough of Easton, October 20, 1822 by Rev. Mr. John Hecht, German Ev. Lutheran Church of Easton, Northampton County. They were both of Saccona Twp. (published: "The Easton Centinel" Easton, Northampton County, PA, Friday, Nov. 1, 1822) My great-grandfather, Osiah Anthony Moser, was born in Northampton County July 23, 1823. He and his twin brother Owen Joseph were in the Lower Saucon Reformed Church, Lower Saucon Twp. A sister Hannah Louisa was born July 1829, was baptized in the same church. The family was living in Ohio for the 1840 census, There are IGI records for other children in the family born after 1829 in Pennsylvania and Pike County, Ohio. Osiah married Mary Ruckman in Ohio in 1845, and they were living in Iowa for the 1850 census. Peter and Magdalena are my gggrandparents. It is very possible that some of their younger children lived well into the 1900's. Osiah Moser was the oldest child in his family. He passed away in Kansas in 1893. Peter and Magdalena's gggrandchildren and ggggrandchildren may well find their names on death records. My grandfather, b. 1871, was the youngest of Osiah and Mary's 11 children, and lived until the early 1950's. His brother who was a few years older lived to the mid 1940's. One of his sister's lived to be 100, passing away in 1948. My grandfather's parents were identified on his death certificate. Although I already the information, I found on my grandfather's death certificate, his birth date and the place of his birth. I don't remember if his parents were named in his obituary notice which I recently saw, but it could have been. **Identifying Peter's parents and his birthplace is my current block. I would also like to find the birthplace of Magdalena. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is my hope that the information I have shared will help others connect with our family. I would love to hear from my cousins and share information. Marilyn CT Marilyn Moser mjmoser@snet.net
