    1. [PaDgo] Lost in Lancaster county, PA
    2. Lost, in Lancaster county: John Gish, married to Martha Magdalena Miller (b abt 1800) daughter of Henry/Heinrich Miller & Mary/Polly Bartley. Children: Mary M "Polie Mary", Christian, Martha (md Samuel Groff/Grove), Anna/Annie & Sarah. John shows up in Orphan's Court records in Jan 1849. I'm not sure which of the MANY Christian's is his son from the 1850 census, and don't know where John ties into the Gish family tree. His daughter Mary md John Sides & they had Jacob & Samuel who died as children, Mary Ann who md Frank Benjamin Stauffer, Amanda who md Nathaniel McNair out in Nebraska--my line, & John G. Jr. I've got birthdates on the three children that lived to adulthood. But John (7 Jan 1844-21 Aug 1901) was the son of Jacob & Barbara Sides. I have Jacob's birthdate, and his parents names George U Susanna Eckman Sides (No dates, just a will date for George.) The missing kids there were: Lydia (22 Aug 1844-20 Aug 1936 from tombstone), Benjamin, Samuel, Lizzie, Sarah, and a sister that family couldn't remember the name of. One of the girls had an illegitimate son named George Good who was born about 1871. Sarah md. Abram (Abe) B. Hoffman. George's family from the will in 1826 were: Jacob (4 Apr 1810-27 Oct 1880 from tombstone), Daniel, Barbara, Henry, George, Mary, Abigail, Martin & Fanny. I have no dates or marriage info for any but Jacob. Susanna Eckman was the dau of Jacob (will proved 31 Mar 1806) & Catherine and had siblings: Daniel, Jacob, Mary, Elizabeth, Magtalen & John. I don't have any dates for any of this bunch, nor do I have any other information. I just recently got a lead on the Bartley line, which goes off to Albemarle co, VA, but know nothing about Henry Miller's parentage or his other kids: Jacob, Mary (md to Daniel Kapp), and John. There may be other kids, but those were the only ones mentioned in the will. Would be interested in more information on any or all of them. The Gish/Sides connection were members of the Brethren.
