Hi Joan and List, I wonder if you could please tell me a little about the Frederick Co. MD Brethren? Were there several churches in the 18th century from about the third decade on, or was there a large German-Brethren settlement composed of many Brethren churches? My NEFF and SWINEHART ancestors moved there from Chester, York, Lancaster and Philadelphia Counties, PA in, if I remember correctly, the 1730s -- to Monocacy. Some of my other lines have connections there, too. In one line, the older children were born in PA and then one was born in Frederick Co., MD, but his younger brothers and sisters were born in PA. There seemed to be quite a bit of movement back and forth between PA and MD among Brethren families.. I am still trying to find my elusive ARNOLD, SMITH line and wonder if they also had connections to Frederick Co. MD., as well as Berks Co., PA. Thank you so much for any information you can offer that would generate clues. Cathy Martin ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
