Her dad was Henry Uebelacker. Henry's dad was Christian Uebelacker. Christian and his brother Charles came from Germany around 1850 to New Jersey. They had a sister, Julia; not sure when she came to States. Anyhow, Charles married and had three children; Charles O, George D. and Julia. So my mom and Julia were cousins. When cousin Julia passed away in 1979 she left behind two very old photo albums. RUHLE is very prominently represented but I'm not positive which branch it stems from--Charles or his wife's. The Ruhle pictures are Elizabeth (Ruhle) Nuricker, John Ruhle, Pauline and Ernest Ruhle, John Ruhle(son), Lillian Ruhle (daughter), Fred Ruhle, Mary Ruhle, Hattie Johnston(e), Louise Ruhle. There is one picture of Ernest Ruhle dressed in a soldier's uniform--German army I think because the picture was taken by T. Kleiber at either Ludwigsburg or Cannstatt. Do you think there's a connection??
