I checked my " German English Genealogical Dictionary" by Ernest Theode. I could not find the word "rhude". Ruhe is there meaning peace, rest. The names listed for Rudolph were: Rud, Rudi, Rudolf, Rudolphus, Rudy,Ruodi, and Rohlf. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
