Mike, Thank you. Samuel Ranck, b. July 30, 1742 was the son of John Michael Ranck, b. 1701 Mannheim Germany, d. July 28, 1778. He m'd. Anna Barbara Schwab, b. in hedelberg, Germany-d. 1784 John Michael was the one of two Ranck immigrnts ( John Philip was the other, my wife' ancestor). We have very interesting Reunion,s, even talks and pictures by folks who have been to France to visit THE castle. WHERE do you live??? We live near Manheim, Lancaster County, PA My first 2 year,s of High School were spend in New Holland , PA, near the original Ranck Farm,s.
