Bonnie, I have just come across your entry of 2002 concerning Catherine Yingst, John Yingst, and Sarah Ann Gockley. It just happens that I am able to help you there. Like all American members of the JUENGST, YINGTS, YIENGST (and similar spellings) family whom I have found so far, John YINGST is a descendant of the German JÜNGST family from Netphen (near Siegen) that can be traced back to the early 15th/late 14th century. Donovan YINGST comes from this family, too, but although he has been able to teach me a lot about the American Yingsts, there are some branches he had not yet discovered. We are exchanging data from time to time in order to fill the gaps in our mutual data bases. I would be very glad to exchange information with you, and I will gladly share the data I have about your ancestors and their descendants (your cousins).
