What people are finding out for me is taht a Nicholas Gottschall who was son of Christopher Gottschall married Elizabeth NUSS on 12 Sep 1758 (records of Rev. Waldschmidt), and a Nicholas Gottschall died in REading on 23 May, 1770. Then on Apr 2, 1771, an Elizabeth widow of a Johan Nicolas Gottschall married Henrich Wagner, who was apparently a widow on account of Sophia Seiwert (Seifert, Seibert, Seifrit, Shiffert, Zebert), who he married in 1769, didn't last. I haven't got confirmation of that. It looks as if Elizabeth Nuss is my Elizabeth Wagner, but it could fit more tightly. Henry Wagner didn't marry for the first time until 1769. His probably brother Johannes (they exchanged baptismal sponsorship of each other's children) married in 1777, and was born in 1751. If Henry was not younger than his wife, then if we speculate that possibly Elizabeth was 18 when she was married, then she was born in 1740 and Henry was born in or before 1740. That would make Henry 29 when he married for the first time, and atleast 11 years older than his brother. All perfectly possible, not highly unlikely, but I wouldn't mind if anyone can confirm it. Also, if Nuss was a name linked to KEIM and SCHNEIDER, it must have been a more obscure allied family. Does anyone have any information on Elizabeth NUSS, must have been born around 1740? Possibly as late as 1742, otherwise more likely before 1740. Are there other ways to spell the name NUSS? Like Ness, Neiss, Nuess, etc?
