Donna, Thank you. You have also noticed that a number of "Penna. Dutch" families either settled in such as STARK Co. OH or for a short time at least, then moved on to such place,s as in Ind. or even in WILL Co. Ill. For example, surname,s that I have been researching: FREY/FRY, GRILL, WEINHOLD/WINEHOLT, and many other,s Many of the such families, either came originally from Berks or Lancaster Counties in PA. That is where one wants to look for information. The U.S. Census is one place where to start looking. As a matter of fact I am looking for an E-mail contact with the DONALD OSBORN family in N.E. Ind. We used to be in touch via Postal mail many years ago. Stauffer IS a very common surname here in Lancaster Co. PA. In family history researching, one way is to zero in , as it were, on the Church they WERE (at least) member,s, and in the case of a number of Stauffer,s, they were of the Mennonite Faith. Please excuse my tying: as of this past Wed.I am NOW with TWO "bad" eye,s. Using a patch over the one so that I do not see double. D. Ernest Weinhold DEWeinhold@juno.com
