I wrote that query 5 years ago when I didn't know very much about the Syphrit family. (The only Paradise I knew about was in Lancaster). Since that time, I have traveled to Reynoldsville,PA and seen the old church and Syphrit cemetery and visited the area known as Paradise! It turns out that my great grandfather, Ed Ellsworth Anderson was a "bound boy" to Joseph Syphrit (Daniel's father) in the 1880's. In Ed's obituary in 1906 (he died in his late 30's) it mentions that he was raised by Daniel Syphrit. This is a little unclear and suspect as I have read a long Syphrit family history, which I am sure you are familiar with and it mentions Ed being bound to Joseph.
