I have several Land Warrants documented with the correct surname or very close in spelling. What I need is a record of the transfer to the next owner, who hopefully is my ancestor. Jim- You might not be looking for a deed per se. You might be dealing with an original land warrant. Also, consider name misspellings. Sometimes you can also find unrecorded deeds in files at the historical societies.
