    3. Ashley You may also want to search under Limerick Township. Royersford was not incorporated until about 1878,79 and the area was frequently referred to as Limerick Township rather than Royersford. Also , the only churches in the area until the 1850's or later were in Spring City in Chester County and Augustus Lutheran Church in Trappe; Also Zions Lutheran Church on rte 724 between Phoenixville and Royersford. There was also a church in Limerick; I think it was Reformed or a union church at that time. Baptismal records for Zion's show a Jacob Boyer and wife Anna, later Hannah (may be one or two wives) having baptized a daughter Lovinia (1834), Louisa Lucina (1846, and John L Andrew (1853) Steve ----- Original Message ----- From: Ashley Tiwara Sent: Tuesday, January 08, 2002 12:27 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [PDGO] Lydia and Amelia Boyer Steve, Thank you for your offer of help. Unfortunately, the only BOYER I know for sure is Amelia. I don't recognize the other names you sent but I will save your message in hopes of someday having more information, or more accurate and less speculative information, about who Amelia's parents and siblings might be. I think you're right about Royersford. I typed a more familiar name and not the one I should have transcribed from my files. Should you come across any mention of Amelia, or of a possible family connection for her, I hope you could let me know. It frustrates me to have all the males listed ( courtesy of cousins ) in the GEIST genealogy back to the founder, in 1740, and have no one paying attention to the females and their families. I hope to be lucky this year and find a few connections for them. Good hunting in 2002, Ashley Ashley I am not researching the Boyer family but do have a possible link for you if you can relate to Catherine Boyer (dates unknown) who married Daniel Schwenk 5/5/1761-2/26/1838. Daniel was the son of George Schwenk and Veronica Markley (dodderer Line) and substantial detail is available on all three of these families. I can provide some of it if you can make the link. Steve Ashley Forgot to mention, I think you mean Royersford, Montgomery County, not Rogersford. To my knowledge there is no Rogersford in Montgomery County. There is a Rogersville and a Rogertown in Pa., but these are in the southwestern and nortwestern corners of the state.
