    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Anderson, Ewing, Totten, Syphrit, Blomquist, Bergquist Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3dB.2ACI/6136 Message Board Post: Susan, Thank you for responding to my comment about Daniel Syphrit. I wrote that query 5 years ago when I didn't know very much about the Syphrit family. (The only Paradise I knew about was in Lancaster). Since that time, I have traveled to Reynoldsville,PA and seen the old church and Syphrit cemetery and visited the area known as Paradise! It turns out that my great grandfather, Ed Ellsworth Anderson was a "bound boy" to Joseph Syphrit (Daniel's father) in the 1880's. In Ed's obituary in 1906 (he died in his late 30's) it mentions that he was raised by Daniel Syphrit. This is a little unclear and suspect as I have read a long Syphrit family history, which I am sure you are familiar with and it mentions Ed being bound to Joseph. I would be interested in any "new" information that you may be able to share on this subject. Thanks. Sincerely, Paul Anderson PAnde84793@aol.com

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/3dB.2ACI/6080.1.1 Message Board Post: Lewis Weighley is a direct decendant of mine. He was a weaver from Somerset Co, PA. He was born in Brothersvalley Twp. (near Berlin PA) on 16 Feb 1810 and died 25 December 1887. He married Eve Beeghley and they had 7 children. He learned the weaving trade from his father, John. The Weighley family is the one of the earliest families in Somerset Co having settled their prior to 1768. The original farm still exists today including the orginal weaving shop of John Weighley. Lewis moved his weaving shop to Lavansville, PA several miles west of Somerset and that is where your coverlets were made. I have a photo of Lewis somewhere that I can scan if you'd like. Just email me directly. I would appreciate if I could obtain a photo of the coverlet for our family geneology. Also, if you ever plan to sell your coverlet let me know as there is always someone in the Weighley family that would be interested. The Weighley family originated in Germany and Paulus immigrated to Philadelphia on September 19, 1732. My email address in dbeal@patmedia.net

My grandfather Harry Earl was a metal working and he worked for the National Meleable and Steel Castings company for over 25 years. He died in 1951. I know Uncle Ed passed away in the 1980's. They had four other siblings: Mary (Snyder) Smith, Martha (Snyder) Smith, Ethel Snyder, and Charles who all lived in the West PA area. Do you have a cousin named Mary Jane Snyder in that lives in Sharon?
