Bonnie, I have just come across your entry of 2002 concerning Catherine Yingst, John Yingst, and Sarah Ann Gockley. It just happens that I am able to help you there. Like all American members of the JUENGST, YINGTS, YIENGST (and similar spellings) family whom I have found so far, John YINGST is a descendant of the German JÜNGST family from Netphen (near Siegen) that can be traced back to the early 15th/late 14th century. Donovan YINGST comes from this family, too, but although he has been able to teach me a lot about the American Yingsts, there are some branches he had not yet discovered. We are exchanging data from time to time in order to fill the gaps in our mutual data bases. I would be very glad to exchange information with you, and I will gladly share the data I have about your ancestors and their descendants (your cousins). The JÜNGSTs are a very interesting and widespread family in several countries on the world. Hoping to hear from you, I wish you a very healthy and prosperous new year. Sincere greetings from Good Old Germany "Cousin" Thomas ---------------------- Thomas.Porombka@web.de

IN, is dau of Jabez and Polly Lee. 11 Lewis, 12, b. IN, is son of Jabez and Polly Lee. 12 Polly, 7, b. IA, is dau of Jabez, and Margaret. 13 Reuben, 5, b. IA, is son of Jabez and Margaret. 14 Betsy Ann, 4, b. IA, is dau of Jabez and Margaret. 15 John, 77, b. NJ, is father of Jabez. 16 Cela Lee, 74, b. VA, is mother of Mary "Polly" Lee, Jabez' first wife. My guess is that this odd arrangement came about by Cela Lee becoming a widow and moving in with Jabez and Polly before Polly's death in 1840, and then staying to take care of Jabez' minor children until he remarried about 1842, and then continuing to live with Jabez and Margaret, because by now she would have been 66, with no place to go. Jabez' father John was a widower, and also lived in the household. So Jabez had his children by his first wife, his second wife and their children, his mother-in-law from his first marriage, and his father living in his household in 1850. That is the way they did things back then.
The FamilyHart database was updated the day before Christmas adding another 9,000 new names online at the url found below. The total in the online database is now over 406,000 names. The majority of the information is for Pennsylvania Dutch families from Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and North Carolina and points going west. _http://midatlantic.rootsweb.com/familyhart/_ (http://midatlantic.rootsweb.com/familyhart/) Much of the information is unverified information from other researchers. As we are able, we do try to "verify" information with census, church and other records. Each record has notes as to the source of the information. If you have additions and/or corrections, please feel free to send us an email. Please be advised that all names added are related by blood or marriage to our family. Also, dates and places for living individuals is withheld for those born after 1925. > < Thanks! Surnames: Long, Clauser, Lechner, Haas Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/3dB.2ACI/6156 Message Board Post: The Hannah Clauser on Page 1297 of Morton Montgomery's History of Berks County, PA (describing the Lechner family) married Peter Long. She was presumably born about 1790-1800. They moved to or were born in Earl Township, Berks County, PA and had a daughter Matilda Long born about 1824 who married Willliam Lechner. They had 4 kids between about 1841 and 1850: Amelia, Harrison, Elizabeth, and Wallace Lechner. There is also a Hannah Clauser 1793 - 1858 who lived in Berks County PA, also married a Peter Long, and had a daughter Mathilda born 1821, who then married a Johannes Krammes in 1847. This is listed in the Ancestry.com OneWorldTree. I do not know how to reconcile these two lineages. I am a descendent of the Hannah Clauser as listed on Page 1297 of Morton Montgomery's History of Berks County, PA. I would like to trace her ancestry. If it turns out that I am related to the Hannah Clauser on OneWorldTree, that will give me additional generations of ancestry in the Clauser and the Long lineages. My ancestry as recorded in Morton Montgomery's History of Berks County Page 1297 (Lechner Family) is: 1. Hannah Clauser married Peter Long, had daughter Matilda Long 2. Matilda Long married William Lechner, had son Wallace Lechner 3. Wallace Lechner married Fannie Haas, had son Samuel Lechner, who is my maternal grandfather
