    1. [PaDgo] Off Topic/ Philadelphia
    2. I will be in Philadelphia at the end of the month. Hope to do some genealogy. The last time I was in Philly was in 1976. The hotel we had reservation at was a safety mistake from what I gathered on CB radio. The Sheritan was just as bad. Ours among ten other cars were broken into. I would like a recommendation for a secure medium priced Good quality hotel and must see sites. I still have a $100 reward for the location of the birth records of Daniel Musser b 24 June 1793.

    3. Posted on: Pennsylvania Dutch Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Dutch?read=4503 Surname: AMSLEY ------------------------- I am looking for information on the surname Amsley. My grandfather lives in Chambersburg. I grew up in Washington County, MD. I have seen a hand-ful of folks with this surname in the area, but have only seen it in one place outside the US. This would be in South Africa, and Minister Manne Amsley DiCaprio. I would assume this has a Dutch origin, due to the presence of the Afrikaans (Boers) in South Africa, but have nothing to substantiate the Dutch origin. I do know that my mother was a member of a Brethen congregation, as was I when I was younger, and that other members of her family are Mennonites. The negative aspect is that I currently have no relations with this side of my family and any information would be helpful.
