Greetings, I lived in Rockland Twp until 1983, and at least at that time, there was a Jerusalem Church in New Jerusalem. Small town, but it was on the map. Just the church, a tavern/restaurant (which doubled as our voting place) and I think a car or tractor dealer. There is a cemetery with the church. Posted on: Pennsylvania Dutch Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Dutch?read=4522 Surname: FLECK ------------------------- Interested in talking with Fleck family members. In my experience, all Flecks end up being related to each other - we are a very close family! There is a Valentine Fleck in my more immediate family who is living today - a possible descendant of the Valentine Fleck mentioned above? My grandfather (Hubert Fleck) has two large volumes of Fleck history so if you have any questions don't hesitate to e-mail me...
Do you have any dates for these people? Valentine was a popular name among the Clymer/Klemmer/Clemmer families. It would help if you could provide a time period for these people. Any additional information you might have would also help. Jean K.
I am searching for the burial site of my great grandparents JOHN KEEHN AND SUSANNA CLOUSER KEEHN. I have reason to suspect that they may be buried at JERUSALEM REFORMED CHURCH, ROCKLAND TWP, BERKS CO. To date, I have only located a Jerusalem Union Church in Albany Twp, Berks Co., and none in Rockland. I have not been able to pull anything up on the site for Berks Co Hist Soc. Can anyone out there help me to fine this church and listings? David Peter Keehn peachykeehn@cs.com
Dale Steffy of CA wrote a good little booklet on the Steffy family of PA. He sent me a copy since I was working on the Steffy family for a client. I was then to place the booklet in the Blair Co Genealogical Society library in Hollidaysburg, PA. I did that. I did not keep a copy nor do I have his address. I would suggest that you contact the above society on Scotch Valley Road and ask them for his address. Good luck. (In Blair Co the name became Stevens). In census of 1860 and 1870 family was in Juniata Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. However, family stories have always said they were from Shade Gap, Huntingdon County. Are Juniata and Shade Gap possibly the same place (with name change) or different places that were close together in the county? John and family were also listed in 1850 census as "John A. Mosser" in Huntingdon Bourgh, Huntingdon Cty, PA. All help will be appreciated. Thanks, Pat & William Mosser 4923 Otter Peak Dr. Kingwood, Texas 77345 Email: pmosser@attgobal.net
I am researching the Stoehr family who later were in NC and a particular Catherine who married Casper Stoehr/Starr. Most of the Stoehr family members became STARRS, this was in mid-1700's to early 1800's. Badly need info on her maiden name. Any marriage records or anything that might tie her to this line would be greatly appreciated.
