I have come across an unrecorded deed of 1712 for my ancestors: John SAVAGE and his wife Mary of Maidenhead in the Province of West Jersey, George SAVAGE and his wife Mary of Milburye in the County of Phila and Samuel SAVAGE from Whitemarsh township in the County of Philadelphia. Could anyone please tell me where these towns are now and any background on the West Jersey Province. Is it part of PA now or did it become part of NJ? Thank you for a history lesson on early PA/NJ! It seems likely that the two younger men were sons of the older Hans. Within the next two weeks, I will have copies of my mother's genealogy notes ( she died March 3rd and my sisters, cousin and I are trying to finish what our mothers started, but can't finish now). With what you have helped me find, I have valid info for 15 of the 2ggrandparents (mine), and several lines ( SHANK, VERNON, FELLERS/FOELLERS, LONGBRAKE/LAMBRECHT, ROBINAULT/ROBENOLD, ANDREWS, POWELL, WALTERS) back to the 7th or eighth generation. THE SHANKS and the VERNONS go back 15 for SHANKS ( verified) and the VERNONS, almost 12 verified. The WINTERS, BROWN, ABBOTT, MERCER, GRANT ,ELLIS, PORTER, JACKSON, FLEMING, MERCER, CRITES/CREUTZ(?), BARNHART/BERNHARDT lines stop after my 2greats grandparents. Some maternal ( on paternal side, maternal lines, also) just appear with nothing else knoen to me: HAAS, MOELLER, CONRAD, LAPE, BRACKBILL, KITTWEILER, TARBUCK, BROWN, BRADSHAW, KNERR, ROTH, BERSHINGER, BAUER, SCHERER, FAESS , COOPER, CLENDENNIN, GALBRAITH and RYTZ. My goal when working with my Mom was to denote ( verified) the IMMIGRANT in each identifiable surname. After these are established, I want to use my training as a historian to weave a narrative about what was happening when/where as they emigrated and migrated across the American continent. I feel it is NOW TIME to call in the professionals to help me finish the genealogy work so I CAN CONTINUE THE HISTORICAL RESEARCH. This is very long, but your suggestions for names of researchers in your areas will be most appreciated. Hi List, Is there anyone who either in person, or by some reference list, could do a look up in the NEW JERUSALEM CEMETERY, not far from Dryville, Berks County. Its at the end of the Pricetown Road in Rockland Twp., Berks Co. I am looking for burial place and dates for JOHN KEEHN and wife SUSANNA CLOUSER KEEHN. She married John H. Hagemeyer. She is only 57 years old. She told me that she knows of other Lillian Carl's in our family tree dating back to the 1900's-1920's.
