Looking for GOWERs in PA. Catherine GOWER married circa 1793 to John WHEELER. They settled in WV, but according to the History of Preston County (WV) by T. S. Wiley "John Wheeler came from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in 1800..." Names of known children were John, William, Samuel, Jacob, David, Abraham, George Jehu, Jonathon and Matilda. Would love to find parents for Catherine. Thanks, Pattie Hannon

Hello, George W. SHERRICK was born in Pennsylvania in 1824. He removed to Iowa and married there abt. 1848 Sarah FAST. He remarried abt. 1856, in Iowa, Rebecca BRUBAKER. George and Sarah had 3 sons born in Iowa: Lank Eugene Oliver Arche C. I would surely appreciate any information that would help me find George's family in PA. Thank you! Yours truly, David, on the central coast, California, USA
John Wade only named his two sons in his will. Several of us have pieced a lot of the family together because we each had the same family family tradition. The Wade information was that there were 6 girls. One of the girls married __ Shaub. This Shaub family owned a clothing or shoe store in Lancaster and were our cousins. Does anyone have this family story about a female Wade ancestor? We have a reunion in August and it would be wonderful to find another whole branch(s) of this family before then. We know very little about Martha and Barbara and nothing about the other two daughters if they exist, one name unknown and the other possibly named Hannah. John WADE was born 1768, and died June 09, 1816 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. He married Maria HEISCH September 22, 1789 in Trinity Luth, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was born August 06, 1769, and died May 24, 1869 in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. Both buried Brackbill-Neff, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania Children: 1. Hannah? WADE. 2. female WADE. 3. John WADE, b. January 08, 1792; d. February 09, 1829, buried Brackbill-Neff, Strasburg, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; m. Susanna WARFLE, June 03, 1819; b. March 13, 1796; d. November 18, 1839. 4. Christian WADE, b. 1799; d. November 26, 1853 buried New Prov Menn, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; m. Mary RESSLER; b. June 07, 1806; d. January 02, 1886. 5. Catherine WADE, b. March 12, 1803, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; d. December 27, 1862, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania; m. Henry FROELICH, December 07, 1824, Trinity Luth, Lancaster, Pennsylvania; b. Hi Leroy, I have this on a George PEIFFER,born 23 Aug 1783,in Mahanoy Twp, Northumberland Co,PA: He was the first son of Johann Georg PEIFFER and Maria Magdalena SCHAFERIN(Schaeffer), he married a Catherine MINIMUM, date unknown. I have a bit more on his parents and siblings ,if you are interested. My connection is that one of George's sisters, Mary Magdalene, married my GGGF John Lasher,2 Feb 1815 in Crawford Co,PA. The PEIFFER family moved to Crawford Co,PA about 1797. Do you think that we are talking about the same George PEIFFER? Geo would have been 53 yo when Josiah was born. . . . not impossible but questionable and he would have had to have a much younger wife,or maybe a second wife.
