Dear Members of this list: I appreciate all whom have tried to help regarding 1790 Cocalico: Henry Sochneider 1 1 1 0 0 Henry Schneider could be a possibility but there are so many Schneiders in the county I probably could not pin down the man I want. His actual name was Sackrider, Sackriter, Sackreuter, Sockrider etc. and the age grouping above would be a perfect fit. But the man above might really be the wrong one. He is not with his father in New Hanover in 1790, nor elsewhere that I can find. In 1793 he is in Lower Saucon church records. I'll have to keep on trying. Thanks all. Fletcher in FL

Hi Nancy: Thank you for trying to help. I'm really disappointed but am used to that. I just stumbled on 1790 Cocalio: Henry Sochneider 1 1 1 0 0. It was such an unusual variation of Sackrider and Sockrider. I still feel he's my man and that although he was not there long, his marriage or the christening of his first son might have been recorded in Lutheran or Reformed records. Not so! I'll doubt that anyone died so cemetery records probably won't help. I'll have to think of another approach. Again, thanks. Fletcher in FL

Posted on: Pennsylvania Dutch Queries Board URL: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Pa/Dutch?read=5109 Surname: GROSVENOR ------------------------- I was looking over your GROSVENOR Family listing and wanted to know if you had a Catharine MILLS born ca. 1799 who married a Nathan GROSVENOR (1796-1846), son of Richard GROSVENOR and Rebekah GLYDE of Fairfax, Franklin County, VT, ca. 1825? All we know about Catharine is her married name is "Catharine M. GROSVENOR," she stated she was born in NY state and she died in Latty TWP, Paulding County, OH on 1 Sep 1883. She and Nathan had six children that we know of and their names are: Hiram (b. 1829), Cyrus (b. 1830), John Allen (b. ?), Wellington (b. 1836), Lucy (b. 1832) and Nina (b. ?). Nathan was a grandson of Leicester GROSVENOR, Jr. and a 1st cousin to Samuel, Daniel and Royal GROSVENOR of Miami County, OH. This Nathan was not a descendent of Isreal GROSVENOR. This is a completely different Nathan GROSVENOR than the Nathan I. GROSVENOR, son of Isreal, who died in prison in PA in 1842. Nathan's siblings are: Clarissa (1794-1878 m. Alvin Crissey), Launson (1799-1848 unm.), Serepta (1800-1868 m. Chester Thompson) and Lucy S. (1807-1839 m. Alvin Cressey BLISS). We think their general movements are: 1800 (Fairfax, Franklin County, VT); Canada or NY (1810-1835); Shelby County, OH (1835-1859); Argenta, Macon County, IL (1859-1870); Hiram remaining family moves back to Shelby County, OH ca. 1870. Catharine stays with her son-in-law, John Wesley EDWARDS, and moves with then to Latty TWP, Paulding County, OH ca. 1870.
