She gave birth to my mom in 1936 and then gave her up for adoption. I have found a Hattie Wilson in W.Va who married a Samuel Bertolet from Montgomery Co. PA. They had a daughter Violet Belle Bertolet in 1927 but can find not records for them after that. My Hattie Ruth Mae was hunchbacked and "not young" when she gave birth to my mom. Does any one know a male Bertolet who could have been the father? Or a Hattie Ruth Mae Bertolet who strayed.

Nicholas (1789-1841) married Jane in Westmoreland County, PA sometime before 1827 and they moved to Wells County, IN with their eight children sometime before 1837. I was always told my Price ancestors were PA Dutch, but I have nothing on the parents of Nicholas. I did find a Dorentine Price in the 1790 Hempfield Twp. census for Westmoreland County, and I did find that he was in the war with Captain Boyd's "Seven months men" until 1781 or so. I don't know if it is the same line or not, though. Please e-mail me at [email protected] Thanks Lloyd M. Schoolfield
