To YOU Frederick County, MD researcher,s: You have just reminded me of one of my "stone wall,s) of said County. I have never been able to locate a wife and/or children for Conrad Weinhold/Wineholt, who is buried in the Middletown German Reformed Church Cemetery, I am told. He die in 1786, and it is believed that he 'moved' into that area after the Rev. WAR. His brother George Wineholt settled in southern York County, PA about the same time, where the town of Windsor is today. Both men are the son,s of Nicholas Weinhold, the immigrant, who settled in Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, on or before 1741 after arriving in Phila. PA Sept. 16, 1738. Any lead,s , idea,s etc. will be greatly appreciate. The most interesting information tha t I received this year on said problem, is that Conrad was married and had children< which is news to me, but I have not been able to prove it. D. Let me know and I'll send the responcible person's name/address. Thank you, Jenny Skelton
I am looking for my ggrandfather, John Walter. He was born in 1910 and died in 1887. One of his marriages was to Catharina Eicholtz. He is buried somewhere in Lancaster Co. His children included Rebbeca, Samuel E., Fianna, and Catherine. In 1885 only Samuel and Rebecca were still living. Rebecca's married name was Fox. He may have had a brother named Peter who was married to Elizabeth Dellinger. I am trying to keep this brief, but does any of this sound like it might connect to your Walter family? I also have what appears to be John's military record from Frederick Co. in 1776. What I was looking for was either a property deed or tax list showing that he was definitely there at the time he served. I have Ludwig's record where he came to america in 1736. I live in Westmoreland Co., PA near where John & Ludwig are buried. I have their death dates & John's will. Like I say I am looking for some type of definite proof where they were at in either Frederick Co. or Washington Co. A lady is going to send me a deed on Ludwig buying property in I believe 1754 in Frederick Co. I would like to know more about John. Where in Washington Co. is Ludwig's house located.

Their son David Earl Moyer (b. 29 Apr 1895, Phila) became a famous pianist and finally piano prof at Oberlin Cons., Oberlin OH. Abraham came from Gerolsheim and it is possible that the Cassels lived there at varioius times. I have no further information on the Swartz family except that there were probably some intermarriages between the two families. Mary Cassel Case

Yes, you are correct. My ancestor was Johannes Wildfang who came with his family to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1734. One of his sons, Johannes Sebastian, was born in 1732 in Oberlustadt Parish which is in the Pfalz. I do not know if they had connections to Hamburg. Do you have any information on the Wildfang family in Germany in the 1700 time frame? My wife and I are planning a trip to Germany in July, 2002 to do more research on the Wildfang family. We appreciate your response to the web site. Hal Bern
