I am just starting to look for my Columbia County Shultz's and my GGgrandmother is Sara as well although a different one of course but could be a different branch of the family. She was the daughter of Peter and Mary Runyon Shultz of Danville/ Berwick and she was born in Sept. 20.1875. She had a brother named Walter. I also have a picture of Saint John Sunday School class from 1896 showing pictures of children including Ruth, Florence, Roy, and Miles Shultz. Does any of this help? Sue

Adams Street near a big water tower. Her name was Etta Robinson Gale. Another relative I would love to find out about is called Zona Gale (Mrs. Bob Munroe), who was born in 1925. Reportedly, she is a keeper of many Gale family items and information. Would you please be willing to try and find her in your phone book? Thanks so very much!

But, in my searching I have run across other HUFFs in Berks Co - a Frederick HUFF, Michael with a son Daniel HOFF in 1818, John HUFF, Samuel HUFF, George HUFF, Jacob HUFF - not related to my line. Reuben HUFF in 1880's. I have not seen a Jeremiah though. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

I was told that I have 2 sets of families in my tree that were PA Dutch. I have not been able to confirm this, however finding information on these families are very hard to do. I was told that the families had a very strong accent and were hard to understand, so maybe this is true?? anyway....decided to join this list today in hopes that someone out there has a connection with mine. Coopers -- I have a Frank Cooper b-approx 1878 who married a Sarah Riddle. I have a John Cooper b-approx 1850 who married a Sarah Grove. Sarah Riddles parents were : Adam & Mary Seiple. Adam b-1857. If any of this sounds familiar in anyway, or if you have Cooper/Riddle families that tie into York County, please contact me....thank you!!!

My father was George Heber Handwork III; his brother was Philip DeHaven Handwork; their father was John Kendig Handwork (at least 2 brothers - Samuel and George (who was a surgeon)). John's mother was Caroline Kendig Handwork. John's father, George (I think), had a flour/feed mill in Wilson's Mill, PA which was moved to Coatsville after his death. There may have been a sister to John, George and Samuel named Clara. John married Lillian Dell Parker Thompkins in 1907. That's all I know.
