Hi Cathy! We've got a bite-y chill in the air and pretty high winds. The sun came out today. Temps have been up and down. Our winter now is like late fall in Ohio. Still wearing my shorts everyday tracy --- On Sat, 2/6/10, Cathy wrote: Hey Tracy what kind of weather you got up your way? We had a windy weekend, & its supposed to get in the 30-40's tonight, & had 70's just 24 hours ago. Weird weather, but I like the changes, but still think people are weird here, this time of year, because it's cold here, & some people are wearing shorts, and I've got jeans & a sweater or jacket on! Oh well takes all kinds to make the world a great place! I'm up getting caught up, but got to go to bed, later,Cathy ----- Original Message ----- From: Becky Subject: Re: [PD-LIFE] storm Hello everyone! I hope that you are all warm and dry. The snow has stoppedd for now and only left us with about 8" which isn't too bad. The dogs love it and so do the kids. They did get the plows through this afternoon. I understand that we are supposed to get another storm Monday night. Could be interesting....
Hello everyone, The snow ended here in VA about 3:30 yesterday. My patio table had 22" which was on the low end. I swear the front sidewalk where I was shoveling had more! It took two of us 3.5 hours to shovel from the front door, sidewalk (townhouse so not a lot of ground to cover) and get the truck out. My car is still buried but local counties are closed so I do not need to report to work tomorrow, yay! We are going to a Super Bowl gathering tonight. Driving there will be fine but there will be nowhere to park. Our host is having us park at the nearby Metro station and we'll get picked up from there. It was nice to walk the dog, she doesn't mind it at all. I stay on the hard packed neighborhood roads since the sidewalks are too slippery or just not shoveled. I must say I do not envy all of you with your heavy snow fall. We had rain off and on all day on Sunday, but it is supposed to be clear for the next two days, and then two more days of rain. We had our two days of snowfall for this winter, about a half inch each time. Needless to say, we don't have snow blowers or snow shovels. Mt. Lemon, though, near Tucson, has had about 5 feet of snow. That is ski country, so people are quite happy about that. We had two or three days last week that it was warm enough to work outside in a T-shirt. Hope to have some more weather like that soon. I must say, though, with all the rain we have had, we are above average for this time of year. Last year we were way below average, so this may make up for some of that. Don in AZ
