Been reading the posts about all these wonderful greens..I really like mustard greens, even though they are a little bitter, and turnip greens with "taters". What are the greens that grow wild around the corn fields? When I was a girl on our farm, we used to look for greens that were growing wild where we had just planted our corn. Maybe, they were the mustard greens. What are "creesey" greens. We had those a lot too, with lots of bacon grease that had been saved from frying the thick, home smoked slabs of bacon. All of these greens are really good for us, without the bacon and ham of course, but that's what really makes them taste so good!! I remember that we kept a used, empty can on the back of the stove to put all of the pan drippings in to use in the greens and for making country gravy!! It sure was good eating! The greens around the newly planted corn fields may have been dandelion and the "cressey" was probably water cress, both need hot bacon dressing to suit my taste.
