Tom, Ramps isn't where...it's what? It is a food that is actually a wild leek that has a very pungent smell, and a strong, but delicious taste. They are considered a real delicacy here in the spring when they come up in the woods, or in "ramp patches". To find a patch of ramps, is like finding a good stream stocked with golden trout!! You can type in ramps food in the yahoo search engine, and go to Ask.com, and if has a very good description of ramps - how they date back to 1530 in records. An interesting read. One site, refers to them as "Soul food" again, so I guess we have soul here in WV, along with the grits, chittlins', hog mawls, sweet iced tea, collard greens, brown beans, and some occasional "moon shine", or dandelion wine thrown in....oops, I didn't just say that...you imagined it!
