There was discussion about cars being referred to as machines. Our local newspaper runs a "Blast from the Past" column and this one appeared this week. "August 28, 1932.Twins, 46, are arrested in traffic case.Roy and Ray Washburn, 43, twins, now residing at Albion, Ind., but formerly of Greenwich, were arrested yesterday afternoon on the charge of causing a motor wreck on Norwood Avenue near Benedict Avenue yesterday afternoon. Police report that the brothers showed signs of intoxication. Roy Washburn, driving a Model T Ford coupe, while about to turn into the yard of the Columbia gasoline station, ran his machine against the side of a Plymouth car driven by Mrs. Frederick Yeo of Lakewood. Damage inflicted on the Yeo's car amounts to about $10. The twins are unmarried." Smiles, Anna
