    3. Trish, I have been watching the weather reports about the storms in CA, and yes, some of our weather is coming from your area. I feel for you as I know what it is like to get more rain in a short time than you normally get all year. We have been in that situation in the past, but not for a couple years now. We have had a slow rain for most of the day, but they are stating that we can expect up to three inches of snow tonight. I guess we won't do much tomorrow, but the roads should not be too bad as we have not had much freezing weather, and the frost has not gone into the roadbeds as far as I know. Of course, at higher elevations there will definitely be plenty of black ice. There is one hill, Texas Canyon, on Interstate 10 in eastern AZ that gets lots of black ice on the road. Of course, the roads in the northern part of the state get lots of snow and ice. I know what you mean about the people driving crazy on wet roads. I left early for the church today as I knew the roads would be wet and there was a possibility of flooded washes. People flew by me like I was sitting still. I don't understand what people are thinking in bad weather. It has been cloudy all day, which of course reduces the visibility quite a bit. It amazes me how many people don't turn their lights on in inclement weather, I guess they think they can see well enough and don't care if the other drivers see them. Mary, I sure hope the new fences stay up also. One of them is completed but the other one isn't yet. We are hoping they will finish it the first of the week as we need to have that fence there to give us and the people behind us some privacy, and also to improve out wind break. As it is now with the back side open and the new block wall about 15 feet from the side of our house, there is a wind tunnel effect on that side of the house. The new back fence when it is completed, should reduce or eliminate that effect. We have sliding windows, and the wind was so strong through there last night that it was causing the sliding window to bow, allowing a gap to exist between the frames of the fixed and sliding windows. I expected a window to pop out, but it didn't, just got some wind into the dining room. Yesterday afternoon we did have a beautiful rainbow. It was so bright and complete that people were talking about it at church today. Well, enough for now. Don in AZ
