    3. It is a little better here today, still a little bit windy, but not bad at this time. The sky has cleared up a bit, but we still have a high wind advisory until midnight tonight. The northern part of the state is equipped for handling snow as that is common there, but what complicated things there was the high winds. Flagstaff in northern AZ is a ski area during the winter, so maybe this snow will help them. As for us, we don't usually get a lot of snow in the southern part of the state at the elevation where we live. We are at 4,600 feet above sea level. We do usually get maybe one or two inches one time during the winter, but it usually melts off right away. We have mountains about five miles behind us that do get a lot of snow. This year, though, we don't know. As far as rainfall, we have only had about half of what we would normally have by this time of the year, so there is a lot of concern about a possible water shortage if we don't get some good moisture this winter. Kathy, I will try to keep this nasty weather from coming your way! Mary, you can keep the snow you have, we don't need any here! We too are thankful that we have not heard of anyone being injured by this storm although there were many accidents in the northern part of the state. From what they have said they were not serious accidents. Don in AZ
