    1. [PD-LIFE] My meet with Cathy, and Disney trip...

    3. Hi List!    We had a really nice visit with Cathy and her family! I am so glad we were able to stop by for a bit. I'm sad because it could not have been for longer. We got a late start and then it took way longer to get to her neck of the woods than I thought it would. I called and said to go ahead and have dinner as I know she has small kids. We arrived about 830pm, had coffee and cookies and got to visit. Cathy is such a nice person. We kinda didn't know what to say to each other now that we were face-to-face. Had a nice visit and took a few pics (which I will try to post to FB and send Cathy copies). We left around 1020pm or so. They had to get up early for work and church and we still had a bit of driving to do.    We made it to Disney ( the place is HUGE!) and I apparently took a wrong turn and ended up driving around Animal Kingdom's parking lot! We were lost but a very nice security guard gave us excellent directions to our resort. We got to the resort and drove around looking for a parking spot. Finally found one and went to check-in. The cast members were all very nice and helpful. The girl waiting on us gave us some pins to wear. One was a Happy Birthday and the other was a "celebrating" pin. We had to go find parking for our room. Got lost again (their maps are goofy). Finally found a spot right up front and the closest to our room. There the car sat the whole time! Had a nice room with king-size bed and a really super bathroom! Bryan said I spent more time in bath and shower than in the room itself!! He's prone to exaggeration! It sure did feel mighty good to stand in a hot shower after walking all over the park for the day!!    Sunday we went to Hollywood Studios for the day. Lots to see and do. Monday was Animal Kingdom (I was a bit disappointed). They closed earlier. The tickets Cathy and hubby got for us were Park Hopper tickets so we were able to hop over (on the Monorail) to the Magic Kingdom for the extended hours and see that park too. We walked so much I got a huge blister on my right big toe. We rode rides and saw attractions, not all but the majority... gotta leave some for next year!! Tuesday was Epcot. Very interesting! No, we did not get into the big silver ball. :o( The line was really long and we just ran out of time to get back to it. Met some nice people there. One guy, Joe, is Canadian and took Bryan's email to send some hunting pics. Met a young couple on 1st Anniversary from here in Panama City! They were 20 and 21. She got all the way up to getting on the "Soarin" ride and decided she couldn't do it. I know how she felt. We did the astronaut ride and the "orange" line. I almost flipped out! I guess I'm getting claustrophobic in my old age! ;o) I was able to get through the ride and enjoy it. Won't do it again any time soon!!    We were going to stop by Cathy's to do lunch on our way home Wednesday. I was so tired and in lots of pain. I had said I would call and kinda forgot (Sorry Cathy!!). We were looking forward too getting home. 3 days at Disney was PLENTY for both of us, and Bryan had to be at work at 5am the next morning. I could not imagine going in the "season"! Most of the people/visitors were rude and nasty. They ran into you and looked at you like it was your fault. And the clothing get-ups were hysterical! Tank top, short shorts and mukluks! I kid you not.    Oops, I have gone on and on. We had a good time and are looking forward to next year (same time). Disney for a few days, Medieval Times for b-day dinner, back to Disney or maybe on to SeaWorld.    I'm taking a couple days to rest and catch up on emails, housework and "me" time. :o) tracy

    3. Yes, tracy I wondered if you forgot, & almost called I did write down your phone, but decided that you might have had enough of traveling, though it's tiring, sounds like you had a ball, but of course, driving all that way, i can't blame you for not stopping once you were on the road! Next year your welcome to stop, & who knows maybe I'll talk my hubby to go to Medevil times too, or Disney! We had talked about going there ourselves, we just haven't as yet! Sounds like you had a blast though! I admit it was alittle surreal you guys making it but tend to be alittle shy, that's all, but was really thrilled you made it! I was thinking of you after attending our local Pow Wow, since you had said you attend some too, yesterday.
