Hi List,    Can I ask if you have an extra minute to say a prayer for my friend, Doug Carter, and his son, Caleb. Doug just found that he is not in remission anymore and has thyroid cancer. He has had a lot of surgeries and illness lately. He had stomach and esophageal surgery and now his tummy is about the size of a walnut and sits at the base of his throat. He has lost much weight and can not seem to gain. He went for a needle biopsy the day before yesterday only to find that the cancer has attached to his carotid. He did find yesterday that he WILL be able to have surgery on Dec. 28. If things don't work out well, he will only have days.  Caleb is only 16 and having a hard time dealing. His grades are starting to slip and he's getting into fights at school.  For some reason these two have touched my heart. They are friends of my little brothers and newer friends to me. I've been praying extra hard as I just found out how bad things were.    Thanks for any and all prayers, thoughts and well wishes you can spare for Doug and Caleb.   tracy
