All these short & sweet recipes, i'm going to have to try now ya know! I get balled up with the "rut thing! Those all sounds so good! Gotta get back to my email for awhile, erasing some, I've got over 2,000 ! I'm bad! Later. I'm getting to the be not getting some that was emailed me, so thought, Embarqmail isn't so cool. They say No limit, but missed a email from PA sating my 93 year old friend had died back in February! She I thought was going to be fine, but suspected something one day so called, & chatted to her daughter, about her final time! It was in between all those snow storms in February! She made it home, & she was telling her daughter, it'll be a better day tomorrow for you, & that was it! That was about Feb. 12-13! I'll miss her terribly, but will remember our final visit in summer 200y with my kids, & video taped it with her family, so it'll be a wonderful thing that I can actually see & hear her visiting with me & my kids! A memory will docum! ented & remembered for the rest of my life! 30+ years, since her retirement from working for the state of PA! in Pittsburgh, PA! Here's to you Mrs. Dorothy Lloyd! Acme, PA! I almost went to the 911 memorial that day, but she said she'd call to talk to the man, a cleric there, & sent me the info, but she was afraid, I'd not get home til after dark, but just arrived, about dark in Chester, WVA. Great day trip that day in July 2007 with my rental car & kids in tow! We are finally getting a bit warmer here in Iowa--up to 40 degrees finally!! We have had 96 days of below 40, and most of that was even way below 30, so that is long enough!! Rick, I have a totally different recipe for pea salad, so I will send it along here. 2 cans of peas 6 hardboiled eggs chopped onion to taste sweet pickle relish to taste a couple squirts of yellow mustard Miracle Whip to taste sugar to taste salt and pepper (ditto) Mix altogether and yummmmm!! I like it a bit sweeter than some folks, but also like that little bite of mustard. I mix the onion, relish, mustard, Miracle Whip, sugar, and salt and pepper together first, then gently add the eggs and peas to the mix. Turns out pretty doggone good!! Hope we don't have too much flooding around here. We have had way more snow than we have had for 25 years!! We got way over 6 feet of snow altogether I think. Naturally that wasn't all at one time!! But somehow it seemed like it at the time!! We had about 1 1/2 months where it seemed like every couple of days we would get another 2-5 inches of snow!! And some ice to begin with!! Our soil really never got a chance to have a hard freeze, because we had an ice storm, then lots of snow on top of that. So we are praying that the snow cover will melt slow enough that it will just soak down into the ground. That would be wonderful! I am quite sure the farmers around here would be thrilled!! Run-off can be awful---takes the top soil right down any river or stream. Not good!! Hope everyone is getting springlike weather---I am thrilled to not need to bundle up anymore!!
