Well, I will share one thing, I never had collard greens until I moved to FL, & didn't think I liked them, they come to our Wal-mart in fresh bags. 2 pounds of it, & a recipe on it, just add some olive oil, water, & chicken broth, salt & pepper & we added diced ham too! And it had suggestions in additions of sauted onion, red pepper & garlic, which we added just red onion & garlic. It was quite yummy, & really getting to enjoy it. My husband has gotten it before & we enjoyed it then, & did get my youngest to put a couple bites in his mouth to try it! So perhaps I'm making some progress?! Hmmm. Great.. And then we had corn bread with Anna from Oh's suggestions awhile back to additions of cheddar cheese. Boy that makes it so much moister! Thanks everyone, but keep them coming too! Until next time, everyone, Cathy ----- Original Message ----- From: twerppy@aol.com To: padutch-life@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 23 Oct 2009 01:16:37 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: [PD-LIFE] Pat's Veggie recipe Hi Pat. This sounds so great. I am trying to change my eating habits. Since my operations and age closing in, it is a great need to fight the wt. I really appreciate knowing this. -----Original Message----- From: P Dyer <pdyer53@yahoo.com> To: padutch-life@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, Oct 23, 2009 12:42 am Subject: Re: [PD-LIFE] Pat's Veggie recipe Connie I make one huge bowl full to the brim once a week. It last all week and never gets soggy because so little dressing goes on it. My hubby works out of town 4 days a week so I eat this two meals each day. I never get tired of it. I love the crunchy crunch of the veggies.
