I lost my very best friend, Sandy, & that touched my heart for sure! I still am alittle in shock still, but again we all know she's in a non-suffering place, & that comforts me too! She was having kidney dialysis, & had a heart attack! She had just gotten the papers for the little girl she was adopting. She was only 60. And my kids are going to miss our lunches/dinners we used to go to with her. Dear Cathy and Barb, Cathy, I am sorry for the loss of your best friend. I know how very difficult that is, especially when it isn't expected--when there is no prescience. It is like losing a sister; and there is just nothing that can fill that space. I still grieve for the loss of my best friend. It takes a while for the 'edge' to wear off so you can move forward. Barb, I certainly will say a prayer for Lou Lou. I am hopeful that with her loving family around her for support, the advancements the medical field has made in treating certain cancers, and her keeping a good attitude will get her quickly on the road to recovery and remission.
