Does anyone remember of or know anyone who would reach down with their bare hands into the ponds or mud to catch a snapping turtle in PA I worked in a Restaurant/Bar and some of men would bring in a snapper that they hand caught.. I was amazed they would do that and not lose a hand, they were reaching in blind.. NO WAY would I do that I don't even get that close to a snapper they are really nasty turtle's... they are good eating and when caught the men would sell them to restaurants..
