Picking peaches and apples is fun. A few years ago my wife and I decided to go to one of the apple orchards not far from where we live to pick some apples. they provide five gallon buckets to put the apples in, and after we filled two buckets my wife asked me to go get two more buckets.. We filled them and she decided she wanted two more. I told her I would get one more and that was all. We planned on canning some, making some apple jelly and apple sauce, dehydrating some to take on our travels, and freezing some. When we got to the scales she discovered we had picket 85 pounds of apples. That was a real challenge for me as I do most of the cooking at home, and do all the canning.
